Where Is Stakt Folding Exercise Mat From Shark Tank Season 14 Today? – Health Digest

College friends Taylor Borenstein and Millie Blumka were passionate about yoga. During COVID, they expanded their home-based workouts to include sculpting, Pilates, and strength training. However, they hit a problem — their beloved yoga mats just weren’t cutting it.

Determined to find a solution, they created the Stakt Folding Exercise Mat. Twice as thick as a standard yoga mat, it offers extra support and versatility. Need more cushioning for your knees? Just fold it once or twice. Want to level up your tricep dips or incline push-ups? Fold it all the way, and it transforms into a sturdy workout block.

Borenstein and Blumka took Stakt to “Shark Tank,” hoping to land a deal. While several Sharks passed, Lori Greiner saw its potential and offered $100,000 for a 15% stake, plus a $1 royalty per mat sold. Initially hesitant, the duo ultimately struck a deal with Greiner, securing the mentorship and marketing boost they needed. However, that deal would eventually fall through.

Stakt has taken off since appearing on “Shark Tank.” The brand has expanded its lineup with new products and collaborations, earning praise from fitness enthusiasts and industry experts alike. Women’s Health even named the Stakt Mat Pro and Stakt Weights the Best Exercise Mat and Best Lightweight Dumbbells of 2025 (via Instagram).

Stakt has evolved into a wellness brand

The entrepreneurs expanded their lineup with the Stakt Mat Pro, an upgraded version of the original Stakt Mat featuring a textured grip and enhanced durability. In 2024, they introduced the Stakt Weights, designed to add light resistance to workouts. Instead of juggling multiple dumbbells, users can simply twist to adjust the weight from 2 to 6 pounds. Borenstein recently announced on LinkedIn that both the Stakt Foldable Mat and Stakt Weights are now patented.

Beyond mats and weights, Stakt offers a range of fitness accessories, including socks, cleanser spray, towels, and carrying bags, all available on its website. Shoppers can also save 20% by bundling many of these products with a Stakt Mat purchase.

Stakt has also collaborated with tennis company Prince in a specially designed Stakt Mat and carrying bag, built to hold both the mat and a tennis or pickleball racket. Photographer Gray Malin’s shot of Waikiki Beach is featured on a signature Stakt Mat, with a portion of its proceeds benefiting the California Fire Foundation. Fans of “Severance” may have spotted the Stakt Foldable Mat in Season 2, Episode 7.

What started as a side hustle has grown into something much bigger. While Borenstein has gone all-in on Stakt full-time, Blumka continues to juggle the business alongside another full-time job (per Shark Tank Blog).

Stakt believes community is important

Recurring Shark Kendra Scott passed on the opportunity to invest in Stakt, citing her loyalty to a long-lasting yoga mat she had used for years. She questioned Stakt’s longevity and believed the company would struggle with customer retention, as buyers wouldn’t need to replace their mats frequently. Despite her concerns, Stakt continues to thrive, with an estimated net worth of $660,000 and annual revenue of $110,000 (per Shark Tank Recap).

Stakt has also built a strong social media presence, boasting over 32,000 Instagram followers and 22,000 TikTok followers. Its pinned TikTok post garnered more than 2 million views, receiving both applause and criticism. Some users shared similar frustrations with their own yoga mats, while others dismissed Stakt as nothing more than a repurposed gymnastics mat.

Looking ahead, the brand remains focused on fostering community. In a LinkedIn post, Blumka expressed gratitude for Stakt’s growth in 2024, highlighting their commitment to deeper connections for 2025. “This year, we’re focusing on building deeper connections and creating more ways to bring everyone together,” she wrote. “We have some incredible partnerships, collaborations, and events planned, and we can’t wait to share.” Stakt launched a Women Who Move You campaign to honor inspiring women during Women’s History Month, with selected nominees to receive a special gift from Stakt.
